A woman was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in Bakersfield on early Friday morning, March 29, 2024.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the collision happened at the intersection of South Union and Hosking Avenue.
Authorities stated that the woman was walking eastbound in the 770 block of South Union Avenue, and the driver of a light-colored vehicle was traveling northbound when the collision happened.
Police said that the driver fled the scene, leaving the pedestrian down on the roadway with major injuries. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
