A motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries after crashing into a Tesla on State Route 32 in Hamilton City in Glenn County on Sunday evening, March 2, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol in Willows, the crash occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. when a 40-year-old Hamilton City man driving a 2022 Tesla westbound on SR-32 attempted to turn left onto Sacramento Avenue.
At the same time, a 43-year-old Forest Ranch man riding a 2022 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling eastbound on SR-32. As the Tesla driver made the left turn, he failed to see the motorcyclist, resulting in a collision.
The motorcyclist struck the left front of the Tesla before being ejected and hitting a stop sign. He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Tesla driver remained at the site and cooperated with authorities. Officials stated that drugs or alcohol were not considered factors in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation. The names of those involved have not been released.
