A juvenile bicyclist sustained minor injuries after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Walnut Creek on Friday morning, February 28, 2025.
According to authorities, the crash occurred at approximately 7:50 a.m. at the intersection of Geary Road and Buena Vista Avenue.
Police reported that the bicyclist was traveling east on Geary Road in the bike lane when a vehicle making a right turn onto Buena Vista Avenue struck him. The driver fled the scene and was last seen heading south on Buena Vista Avenue.
The victim, who was wearing a gray helmet, was knocked off his bike. Emergency responders transported him to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Authorities do not have a description of the driver or vehicle and are asking witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information is urged to contact Walnut Creek police at (925) 943-5844.
