[10-30-2026] Shasta County, CA – One Killed, Another Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in Redding

One person was killed, and another sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Airport Road in Redding on Friday night, October 30, 2026.

According to the Redding Police Department, officers responded around 7:06 p.m. to a report of a crash on Airport Road at Silvia Lane.

Emergency crews arrived and found a white 2013 Ford pickup truck and a 2017 Chrysler minivan that had collided.

A preliminary investigation indicated that the Ford was traveling southbound on Airport Road when the minivan pulled out from Silvia Lane in front of it.

The minivan’s driver and passenger were taken to a local hospital. The driver later died from their injuries.

Police said drugs and alcohol do not appear to have been factors. The department’s Traffic Unit has taken over the investigation.

The crash remains under investigation.
