[10-26-2026] Santa Barbara County, CA – Elderly Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle in Lompoc

A 96-year-old man was fatally injured after being struck by a vehicle in Lompoc on Monday evening, October 26, 2026.

According to the Lompoc Police Department, officers responded around 9:14 p.m. to the 2000 block of North H Street.

Officers found the Lompoc resident injured after a vehicle struck him while he was attempting to cross the street.

Emergency personnel provided medical aid at the scene. The man was transported to a local hospital, where he later died despite lifesaving efforts.

Police said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officers.
