[10-13-2026] Alameda County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Collision With Tesla in Emeryville

A male motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a Tesla in Emeryville, Alameda County, on Tuesday morning, October 13, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at around 6:48 a.m. on westbound Interstate 80, just west of Powell Street.

Initial reports indicated that the collision caused the motorcyclist to fall into a traffic lane. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities withheld his identity pending notification of his family.

CHP said the Tesla driver was uninjured, remained at the scene, and cooperated with investigators.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the CHP.
