[10-02-2026] Alameda County, CA – One Killed in Collision Involving Tractor-Trailer and Pickup Truck in Berkeley

One person was killed in a collision involving a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck on Interstate 80 in Berkeley on Friday afternoon, October 2, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred at around 3:30 p.m. on the westbound I-80, just west of University Avenue.

Authorities did not immediately release additional information about the person who died.

The investigation remains ongoing.
