One person was killed, and three others were critically injured in a crash involving a semi-truck in San Diego County on Monday morning, October 5, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred before 11:00 a.m. on State Route 67 north of Slaughterhouse Canyon Road, near the San Vicente Reservoir.
The Lakeside Fire Protection District reported that one vehicle crossed into another lane and was struck by a semi-truck.
One adult was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other people were transported to a local hospital in stable but critical condition. Officials said some of those transported were reportedly in their 70s.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
