[10-01-2026] San Luis Obispo County, CA – Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide on Highway 101

A motorcycle and a vehicle collided on Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo on Thursday afternoon, October 1, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported shortly after 4:20 p.m. on northbound Highway 101 near the Madonna Road off-ramp.

CHP records indicated that a Volkswagen Beetle and a motorcycle were involved in the collision. One of the drivers was reportedly up and walking in the center divider when the crash was reported.

An ambulance was dispatched to the scene, but CHP had not confirmed whether anyone was injured.

Authorities did not immediately release additional information about what led to the collision.
