A collision involving a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle closed Highway 59 in Merced County on Thursday morning, October 1, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at around 5:45 a.m. on Highway 59 at W. Dickenson Ferry Road.
Fire personnel and multiple CHP units responded to the scene. Both northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 59 were closed while authorities responded to the crash.
Information about possible injuries and the circumstances leading to the collision was not immediately available.
