[09-26-2026] San Luis Obispo County, CA – Woman Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash at San Luis Obispo Gas Station.webpA 62-year-old woman suffered moderate, non-life-threatening injuries in a hit-and-run crash at a San Luis Obispo gas station on Saturday afternoon, September 26, 2026.

According to the San Luis Obispo Police Department, the incident occurred at around 3:00 p.m. in the parking lot of Conserv Fuel on Santa Rosa Street.

Police said the woman was struck by a car, and the driver fled the scene. San Luis Obispo Fire Department personnel provided medical care before transporting her to a local hospital with moderate injuries.

Authorities said the driver traveled northbound on Highway 101 and was later located by the California Highway Patrol. Police identified him as 36-year-old Joseph P. of Paso Robles.

The driver was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of felony hit-and-run causing injury or death, misdemeanor probation violation, and misdemeanor driving on a suspended license.

The investigation is ongoing.
