[09-27-2026] San Diego County, CA – Two Killed in Motorcycle Crash in Lakeside

Two people were killed after a motorcycle left the roadway and struck a tree in Lakeside early Sunday morning, September 27, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly before 2:30 a.m. on East Lakeview Road west of Adlai Road.

CHP said a 41-year-old San Diego man was riding a Harley-Davidson westbound with a 33-year-old woman as his passenger when the motorcycle veered off the roadway and struck a tree.

Both riders were ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities were withheld pending notification of their families.

CHP said it was not yet known whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
