Three people sustained injuries after a car crashed through the entrance of a Food 4 Less store in El Monte on Tuesday morning, September 29, 2026.
According to police, the crash occurred at around 7:30 a.m. at the grocery store on the corner of Garvey Avenue and Valley Boulevard.
Authorities said the vehicle drove through the store’s front entrance and struck at least three people inside.
One person was transported for treatment with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Two others suffered moderate to minor injuries, with at least one of them also taken to a hospital.
The driver was reportedly uninjured and remained at the scene to cooperate with authorities. Police administered a field sobriety test, but the driver was not taken into custody.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
