[09-23-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Studio City

A motorcyclist in his 30s died after a hit-and-run collision involving a minivan in Studio City, Los Angeles, on Wednesday morning, September 23, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash occurred at around 7:00 a.m. at Ventura Boulevard and Carpenter Avenue near Carpenter Community Charter School.

Police said the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Ventura Boulevard when a blue Honda Odyssey minivan traveling westbound attempted to make a left turn onto Carpenter Avenue. The vehicles collided, and the minivan driver continued south on Carpenter Avenue without stopping.

The Honda Odyssey was later abandoned, according to police. Paramedics transported the motorcycle rider to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities did not immediately release the motorcyclist’s identity.

The LAPD Valley Traffic Division is investigating the hit-and-run collision and is asking anyone with information to contact investigators.
