[09-19-2026] Kern County, CA – Two Men Critically Injured in Crash in West Bakersfield

Two men were critically injured in a crash in West Bakersfield early Saturday morning, September 19, 2026.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the crash was reported at around 12:12 a.m. in the area of Brimhall and Renfro roads.

Police said a silver Nissan sedan was traveling westbound on Brimhall Road when the driver failed to stop at a posted stop sign and continued into a field at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle then struck a large dirt berm and overturned. Two men were critically injured in the crash.

Authorities said it remains unknown whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.

The investigation remains ongoing.
