[09-19-2026] Riverside County, CA – Two People Injured in Crash in Desert Center

Two elderly people were injured in a crash in Desert Center, Riverside County, on Saturday morning, September 19, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at around 11:10 a.m. on State Route 177, north of the Redlands (10) Freeway.

The Riverside County Fire Department said emergency personnel extricated both occupants from the vehicle.

One person suffered major injuries, while the other sustained moderate injuries. Both victims were transported to a hospital by helicopter.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
