A pedestrian was killed after being struck by three vehicles in Long Beach on Sunday evening, September 13, 2026. Police said two of the drivers left the scene.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers responded at around 7:25 p.m. to Pacific Avenue, north of Pacific Coast Highway.
Police said the man was walking eastbound across Pacific Avenue outside a marked crosswalk when he stepped into the roadway from the center median. An unknown white SUV struck him, followed by an unknown dark-colored sedan and a 2021 Jaguar.
The Jaguar driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Officers provided aid to the pedestrian until Long Beach Fire Department paramedics arrived and transported him to a hospital, where he later died.
Authorities withheld the man’s identity pending positive identification and notification of his next of kin.
The Long Beach Police Department is seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the crash.
The investigation remains ongoing.
