[09-12-2026] Stanislaus County, CA – Five Taken To Hospital After Multiple-Vehicle Crash in Modesto

Five people were taken to hospitals after a multiple-vehicle crash in Modesto on Saturday night, September 12, 2026.

According to the Modesto Police Department, first responders were dispatched at around 9:00 p.m. to the intersection of Sisk Road and Plaza Parkway.

Police said one of the vehicles went through a fence and entered Highway 99, where it was struck by a northbound vehicle. The driver of the vehicle that entered the highway became trapped inside.

Modesto Fire Department personnel used hydraulic rescue equipment to extricate the trapped driver. Police said that the driver suffered serious injuries. Four other people were also taken to hospitals, but the severity of their injuries was not immediately available.

The Modesto Police Department continues to investigate the collision.
