A 14-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision involving a sedan and a commercial box truck in Union City on Friday morning, September 11, 2026.
According to the Union City Police Department, the crash occurred at around 8:05 a.m. on Alvarado-Niles and Decoto roads.
Police said a silver Mazda sedan and a commercial box truck collided at the intersection. Officers found the 14-year-old in the front passenger seat of the sedan.
The teen was transported to an area hospital. An update on the teen’s condition was not immediately available.
Both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police said alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors in the collision.
The cause remains under investigation.
