[09-10-2026] Riverside County, CA – 39-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck in Mecca

A 39-year-old pedestrian, identified as Ramiro G. Jr., was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Mecca, Riverside County, on Thursday evening, September 10, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred shortly after 7:25 p.m. on 70th Avenue, east of Cleveland Street.

CHP said a white Honda Accord was traveling on 70th Avenue when it struck a man who was walking in the roadway.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. CHP said alcohol did not appear to have been a factor in the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
