Two drivers suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 108 near the lower Mono Way turnoff in Sonora on Monday morning, September 7, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 9:45 a.m. when an eastbound Ford F-350 pickup truck driven by Angel D., 18, of Sanger, entered the opposing traffic lane.
CHP reported that the pickup struck an oncoming Subaru Forester driven by Lyda P., 55, of Modesto. Lydia attempted to avoid the collision, but the Subaru was pushed into a concrete wall and overturned. The Ford continued east before coming to a stop.
Both drivers sustained minor injuries and were transported by ambulance to Adventist Health Sonora for treatment.
CHP said alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the crash.
The investigation remains ongoing.
