[09-05-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – One Killed, Three Injured in Crash in Pacoima

One person was killed, and three others sustained injuries in a crash on the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway in Pacoima on Saturday night, September 5, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 8:18 p.m. on the westbound 118 Freeway at the San Fernando Road off-ramp.

A witness reported that a gray sedan went down an embankment along the right shoulder and crashed into a tree.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person was transported to a hospital in serious condition, while two others were hospitalized in fair condition.

Authorities did not immediately release the ages or identities of those involved. CHP indicated that the person who died did not appear to be the driver. The driver was conscious when evaluated by paramedics.

The CHP continues to investigate the fatal crash.
