[08-29-2026] Tulare County, CA – 12-Year-Old Girl Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle in Terra Bella

A 12-year-old girl died after being struck by a vehicle in Terra Bella, Tulare County, on Saturday evening, August 29, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to the incident at around 5:30 p.m. on Avenue 95 near Road 238.

CHP investigators said a 22-year-old Porterville man was driving a 2015 Ford Mustang westbound on Avenue 95 when the incident happened.

Witnesses told investigators that the 12-year-old girl was crossing Avenue 95 when the Mustang struck her.

The girl was transported to Sierra View Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries. Authorities have not released her identity.

The CHP continues to investigate the fatal crash.
