[08-23-2026] Fresno County, CA – Two Injured in Suspected DUI Crash on Highway 99 Near Kingsburg.webpTwo people were injured in a suspected DUI crash on Highway 99 outside Kingsburg in Fresno County on Sunday afternoon, August 23, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 2:30 p.m. on northbound Highway 99, just before the Bethel Avenue exit.

CHP said a man driving a white Mitsubishi was reportedly driving recklessly in the fast lane when he veered to the right and rear-ended a Honda Pilot.

The impact caused the Honda to lose control, leave the highway, and overturn onto its driver’s side. Two occupants were able to exit the SUV and were transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

The Mitsubishi driver stopped in the center divider and exited his vehicle. CHP said he was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence.

The CHP continues to investigate the crash.
