[08-21-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Child Injured in E-Bike Hit-and-Run Crash in Lancaster.webpA child riding an electric bicycle was injured in a hit-and-run crash in Lancaster on Friday afternoon, August 21, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the collision occurred around 2:45 p.m. near the 2300 block of West Avenue J-8.

Sheriff’s officials said a motorist struck the child while the child was riding an electric bicycle. The driver then left the scene without stopping.

The child was transported to a hospital for treatment. Authorities did not immediately disclose the extent of the child’s injuries.

Descriptions of the driver and vehicle involved were not immediately available.

Authorities continue to investigate the hit-and-run crash.
