According to California Highway Patrol incident logs, the crash was reported around 3:22 p.m. on the eastbound lanes of the Redlands (10) Freeway west of Malki Road.

Initial reports indicated that the vehicle struck a light pole before overturning and coming to rest on its roof. The exact number of occupants was not immediately known, although a reporting party told CHP that several people were inside the vehicle.

At least one person was reported injured. The extent of the injuries was not immediately available.

The collision also knocked down the light pole, and crews were requested to remove it from the roadway.
