[08-18-2026] Alameda County, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash Blocks SR-84 Near Dumbarton Bridge in Fremont

A two-vehicle crash blocked lanes on State Route 84 near the Dumbarton Bridge in Fremont on Tuesday morning, August 18, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred near the midspan of the Dumbarton Bridge.

Authorities reported around 6:20 a.m. that all westbound lanes were blocked following the crash. The left and center lanes in the eastbound direction were also affected.

An estimated time for reopening the lanes was not immediately available.
