A 15-year-old boy was killed, and three other people were injured in a rollover crash on Highway 1 south of Harmony in San Luis Obispo County late Friday night, August 14, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 11:15 p.m. on Highway 1 just north of Sea West Drive.
CHP said the vehicle struck a guardrail, traveled up an embankment, and hit a large rock before overturning. No other vehicles were involved.
A 15-year-old boy from Morro Bay was pronounced dead at the scene. A 17-year-old girl from Cambria sustained major injuries, while a 19-year-old Paso Robles woman suffered moderate injuries. The driver, an 18-year-old Cambria man, sustained minor injuries.
CHP said alcohol is not believed to have contributed to the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
