According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 2:15 p.m. on eastbound Highway 24 near the Tunnel Road exit, before the Caldecott Tunnel.

Footage from the scene showed a junk truck with damage to the front end and windshield, alongside another work truck.

One man was transported from the scene by ambulance. Additional information regarding the nature or severity of his injuries was not immediately available.
