A driver was killed, and another was injured in a two-vehicle collision in Concord on Wednesday evening, August 12, 2026.
According to the Concord Police Department, officers responded around 8:40 p.m. to the intersection of Willow Pass Road and Port Chicago Highway. They found a blue Toyota Prius and a red Chevrolet Cruze that had collided.
Officers and other emergency personnel performed lifesaving measures, but the driver of the Chevrolet was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the driver’s identity.
The Toyota driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported for medical treatment. Authorities have not released information about what may have caused the collision.
The Concord Police Department continues to investigate the crash.
