[08-12-2026] Sonoma County, CA – Woman Seriously Injured in Four-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 in Petaluma

A woman suffered major injuries in a four-vehicle crash on Highway 101 in Petaluma, Sonoma County, on Wednesday morning, August 12, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded around 6:40 a.m. to the southbound Highway 101, south of Pepper Road.

Authorities said a Honda Pilot approaching stopped traffic rear-ended a Volkswagen Golf. The female driver of the Volkswagen sustained major injuries and was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment.

A Toyota Corolla and a Dodge Ram were also involved and sustained minor damage. It was not immediately known whether any of the other drivers were injured.

The CHP continues to investigate the crash.
