[08-10-2026] San Diego County, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Torrey Highlands

A 24-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in San Diego’s Torrey Highlands area early Monday morning, August 10, 2026.

According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office, Eric E. of San Diego was found with fatal injuries around 3 a.m. in the 13700 block of Carmel Valley Road.

Investigators determined that the pedestrian had been struck by an unidentified vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver left the area following the collision.

Authorities have not released a description of the vehicle involved or additional information about the circumstances leading to the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
