A driver was injured in a two-vehicle hit-and-run crash on Interstate 10 in Cathedral City on Tuesday evening, August 11, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded around 5:44 p.m. to the eastbound Interstate 10, west of Date Palm Drive. Upon arrival, officers determined that one of the vehicles involved had left the scene.
The driver who remained at the crash site suffered cuts and scrapes and was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Investigators identified the vehicle that left the scene as a 2025 Land Rover. CHP officers later located the Land Rover and its driver at a residence in La Quinta.
The driver, who was not injured in the collision, was taken into custody on suspicion of hit-and-run causing injury.
The investigation remains ongoing.
