[08-11-2026] Sacramento County, CA – Man Dies After Two-Vehicle Crash in Citrus Heights.webpA man died after becoming unresponsive following a two-vehicle crash in Citrus Heights on Tuesday evening, August 11, 2026.

According to the Citrus Heights Police Department, the collision was reported around 9 p.m. near Auburn Boulevard and Carriage Drive. Police said one vehicle rear-ended another at a low speed.

The driver of the vehicle that rear-ended the other vehicle was found unresponsive. Fire personnel performed lifesaving measures at the scene before the man was transported to a hospital, where he later died.

Police said a medical emergency may have occurred given the low-speed nature of the collision, although the circumstances have not been confirmed. DUI is not believed to be a factor.

The investigation remains ongoing.
