[08-11-2026] Kern County, CA – Two People Pulled From Vehicle After Rollover Crash in Bakersfield

Two people were pulled from a vehicle following a rollover crash on Highway 178 in Bakersfield on Tuesday morning, August 11, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported shortly before 11 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Highway 178 near Union Avenue.

CHP reported that the vehicle lost control for an unknown reason, rolled over, and came to rest on its side along the right side of the roadway. Several passing motorists stopped to assist following the crash.

Two people were pulled from the vehicle. The extent of their injuries was not immediately available.

Traffic delays were reported as crews worked to clear the roadway. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
