A traffic collision temporarily blocked all lanes connecting eastbound Interstate 580 to southbound Interstate 680, Alameda County, on Thursday, August 6, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, all lanes of the connector were temporarily closed following the crash. Motorists were advised to use alternate routes while authorities responded to the scene.
CHP reported that all lanes had reopened shortly after 11 a.m. Authorities have not released information regarding the number of vehicles involved or whether anyone was injured.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
