[08-06-2026] Fresno County, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash Causes Delays on Southbound Highway 99

A multi-vehicle crash caused traffic delays on southbound Highway 99 in Fresno on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

According to Caltrans, the collision occurred at Olive Avenue and reduced southbound Highway 99 to two open lanes. 

Authorities reported traffic backing up to Ashlan Avenue as crews responded to the scene.

Officials have not released information regarding the number of vehicles involved or whether anyone was injured in the collision. 

Motorists were advised to expect delays while emergency personnel worked at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
