[08-01-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – Man in Wheelchair Injured After Being Struck by Tesla in Victorville

A man in a wheelchair was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in Victorville on Saturday night, August 1, 2026.

According to the Victorville Police Department, the incident was reported around 9:10 p.m. on Hesperia Road, south of Jasmine Street. 

Emergency personnel found the man in the roadway. Authorities said he was awake and breathing before being transported to a local hospital for treatment. 

The crash involved a gray 2023 Tesla Model Y, which sustained damage to the center of its hood. The driver of the Tesla remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. 

The Victorville Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
