[08-02-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – Two Injured in Wrong-Way Head-On Crash in Victorville

Two people were injured in a wrong-way head-on collision on northbound Interstate 15 in Victorville early Sunday morning, August 2, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 6 a.m. on the northbound I-15 just south of Palmdale Road.

Authorities determined that the driver of a silver 2025 Nissan Versa entered the freeway from the Palmdale Road on-ramp in the wrong direction and collided head-on with a red 2023 VinFast.

The Nissan driver became trapped inside the vehicle and was extricated by firefighters using hydraulic rescue tools. Both drivers were transported by ground ambulance to St. Mary Medical Center for treatment. Their conditions have not been released.

The investigation remains ongoing.
