[07-31-2026] Sacramento County, CA – Van Driver Flees After Collision With Big Rig on Highway 50

A van driver fled the scene after a collision involving a big rig in Sacramento on Friday, July 31, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported on eastbound Highway 50 west of State Route 99.

Authorities said a van struck the center divider before colliding with a big rig.

Following the collision, the van became disabled in the No. 3 lane. CHP reported that the van driver left the scene on foot after the crash.

Authorities have not released information regarding possible injuries or identified the driver involved.
