[07-29-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – Three Killed, Three Seriously Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Apple Valley

Three people were killed, and three others suffered major injuries in a three-vehicle collision in Apple Valley, San Bernardino County, late Wednesday night, July 29, 2026.

According to the Apple Valley Police Department, the crash was reported at around 11:42 p.m. at the intersection of Apple Valley Road and Yucca Loma Road. 

Investigators said a 2015 Dodge Caravan traveling northbound on Apple Valley Road allegedly failed to stop for a red light and collided broadside with a 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan traveling eastbound. The impact pushed the Tiguan into a 2019 Toyota Highlander traveling in the adjacent lane.

Authorities said three passengers in the Volkswagen Tiguan—an adult woman and two juveniles—were pronounced dead at the scene. Two additional passengers in the Tiguan sustained major injuries and were transported to a local hospital. 

The driver of the Dodge Caravan also suffered major injuries and was hospitalized, while the driver of the Toyota Highlander was treated at the scene. The identities of the deceased have not been released pending notification of next of kin.
