[07-23-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by SUV in Koreatown

A male pedestrian was killed after being struck by an SUV in the Koreatown area of Los Angeles early Thursday morning, July 23, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident occurred around 12:35 a.m. on southbound Vermont Avenue, south of Seventh Street. 

Authorities said the pedestrian was sitting in the far right traffic lane when he was struck by a southbound Chevrolet SUV.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity and age have not been released. The driver of the SUV remained at the scene following the collision.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
