[07-19-2026] Santa Barbara County, CA – Bicyclist and Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on Gibraltar Rd.

Two people were taken to a hospital following a crash involving a motorcycle and a bicycle on Gibraltar Road above Santa Barbara on Sunday morning, July 19, 2026.

According to the Santa Barbara City Fire Department, Montecito Fire Department, and California Highway Patrol, officers were dispatched at around 10:50 a.m. on the 2200 block of Gibraltar Road.

Authorities said the bicyclist sustained major injuries and was transported by ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. The motorcyclist sustained minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital. 

CHP officers requested a tow truck to get the motorcycle as evidence and continue investigating the circumstances of the collision.
