[06-30-2026] Madera County, CA – 18-Year-Old Killed, Multiple Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash at Ave 17 and Rd 28 12.webpAn 18-year-old woman was killed, and multiple others were injured following a two-vehicle crash in Madera County on Tuesday night, June 30, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at around 9:46 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue 17 and Road 28 1/2.

Authorities said a white 2018 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling eastbound on Avenue 17 when it failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the intersection. The Chevrolet then collided with a black 2019 Jeep Wrangler traveling southbound on Road 28 1/2, which had the right of way.

Following the impact, both vehicles continued forward, striking a parked vehicle and a support beam at a nearby home before coming to rest. The Jeep overturned during the crash.

The 18-year-old driver of the Chevrolet was pronounced dead at the scene. A 19-year-old male passenger suffered major injuries and was transported to a hospital, while a 21-year-old female passenger sustained minor injuries. The Jeep driver and one passenger also sustained minor injuries.

The CHP is continuing to investigate the crash.
