A 33-year-old woman was killed, and three other people sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision in Apple Valley, San Bernardino County, on Saturday night, June 27, 2026.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred around 8:21 p.m. at the intersection of Wichita Road and Zuni Road.
Investigators determined that a 25-year-old Apple Valley man was driving a 2022 Toyota Camry northbound on Wichita Road and failed to stop at the posted stop sign at Zuni Road. The Camry broadsided a 2021 Nissan Altima traveling westbound on Zuni Road.
The Camry driver was trapped inside the vehicle as it caught fire and was extricated by firefighters before being transported to a local hospital. The driver of the Nissan Altima, the 33-year-old woman, sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in the Altima were also transported to a trauma center for treatment.
The investigation remains ongoing.
