A 55-year-old motorcyclist died after a traffic collision involving a vehicle in Bishop, Inyo County, on Wednesday evening, June 10, 2026.
According to the Bishop Police Department, officers responded at around 7:14 p.m. to the intersection of East Elm Street and Howard Street.
Upon arrival, they found the rider in the roadway, with the intersection blocked due to the crash. The motorcyclist was transported by Sierra LifeFlight to Northern Inyo Hospital for treatment.
Authorities later confirmed that the rider was transferred for further care but succumbed to injuries on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at a medical facility in Reno, Nevada.
The Bishop Police Department reported that the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
Authorities are asking anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to contact the department.
