[06-03-2026] Kern County, CA – Man Killed in Motorized Bicycle Crash in South Bakersfield.webpA man was killed after being struck by a vehicle while riding a motorized bicycle in South Bakersfield on Wednesday night, June 3, 2026.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the crash occurred around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Brundage Lane and A Street. 

Authorities reported that the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Brundage Lane and entered the intersection on a red light, where he was struck by a woman driving southbound on A Street. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Authorities stated that speed and intoxication are not believed to be factors in the crash.

The investigation remains ongoing.
