A pedestrian was fatally hit by a vehicle in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood early Wednesday morning, June 3, 2026.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, officers responded around 5:31 a.m. to the intersection of Brannan and Seventh streets and found the pedestrian on the ground along with the involved vehicle.
Paramedics attempted lifesaving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the pedestrian has not been released.
Authorities reported that the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Alcohol or drugs do not appear to have been factors in the crash.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
