[05-25-2026] San Diego County, CA – One Killed, Four Injured in Head-On Collision on Pine Hills Rd. in Julian

One person was killed, and four others were hospitalized following a head-on collision in Julian, San Diego County, on Monday morning, May 25, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 6:56 a.m. at 3415 Pine Hills Road, several miles south of State Route 79.

Authorities reported that emergency responders arrived to find one of the two vehicles fully engulfed in flames.

Cal Fire San Diego stated that one victim was in critical condition, another was in moderate condition, and two additional victims were transported to a hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
