[05-19-2026] Santa Barbara County, CA – Bicyclist Injured in Crash With Vehicle on Modoc Rd.webpA bicyclist was injured following a collision involving a vehicle in Santa Barbara on Tuesday morning, May 19, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, emergency crews responded to the incident around 9:24 a.m. on Modoc Road near Via Senda.

Authorities stated that the vehicle involved was described as a white pickup truck towing a black trailer. The injured bicyclist was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.

A witness at the scene reported that the vehicle was making a right turn when it ran over the cyclist’s leg. The driver reportedly returned briefly to the scene before leaving again without providing identifying information.

The CHP later issued a “be on lookout” notice for the vehicle involved.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
